Researchers from CIB, CAS visited VNMN, VAST

From 8th to 14th May, Prof. Jiatang LI visited the Herpetological Branch of Vietnam National Museum of Nature (VNMN), Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) at their invitation.

    From 8th to 14th May, Prof. Jiatang LI and Graduate student LI Yang from Chengdu Institute of Biology (CIB), visited the Herpetological Branch of Vietnam National Museum of Nature (VNMN), Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) at their invitation. They developed academic exchanges and carried out the field investigation work. This activity was funded by Southeast Asia Biodiversity Research Institute (SEABRI), CAS. 

    The Herpetological Branch of VNMN, VAST and the Herpetological Museum of CIB, CAS has a friendly cooperative relationship. This academic exchanges focus on the amphibian reptile of distributed in Southeast Asia biodiversity hotspot. Furthermore, and the areas and ways of cooperation were further discussed. Thus will promote high levels output on research. 

    During the visit, researchers from Vietnam and China have carried out a filed investigation on Me Linh biodiversity station, which accompanying by Director of the Herpetological Branch of VNMN, VAST, Dr. Nguyen Thien Tao. Through the efforts of both sides, they got some sample and was successfully accomplished the survey.

    Under the strategy of the national " The Belt and Road ", CBI, CAS actively promoted scientific cooperation with Southeast Asian countries, through bilateral exchanges, the joint field investigation and the recruitment of international students, carry out multi-channel international exchanges. This visit will lay the foundation for further international cooperation in the future.
