A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between XTBG and Myanmar FD

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between the two sides after detailed discussions on future cooperation. The main purpose of the MOU is to promote collaboration on plant biodiversity research and conservation in Myanmar.

    From June 3 to 7, 2013, three delegates from the Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry, Myanmar led by Dr. Nyi Nyi Kyaw, Director General of FD, visited XTBG. At the Myanmar delegation and XTBG forum, Prof. CHEN Jin, Director General of XTBG, warmly welcomed the guests from Myanmar. Dr. FAN Ze-Xin introduced topics such as XTBG’s current scientific research, species conservation, horticulture, postgraduate education, and international cooperation. The Myanmar delegation introduced the current situation of the Forest Department. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between the two sides after detailed discussions on future cooperation. The main purpose of the MOU is to promote collaboration on plant biodiversity research and conservation in Myanmar.
